Tamakoshi Hospital, Nepal

Tamakoshi Hospital, Manthali, Ramechhap

Located in the town of Manthali, in the Ramechhap district and supporting a population of over 200,000 people, Tamakoshi Hospital supports a hugely diverse community. Alongside the hospital they also provide healthcare in remote health posts in the surrounding mountains. At more than 5 hours drive from Kathmandu over difficult terrain and limited access to air transfer, it is essential that the hospital has access to emergency facilities. 

Emergency Provision

With only around 6 inpatient beds, and limited emergency medical equipment we hope to supply Tamakoshi Hospital with a defibrillator, crucial airway equipment and life-saving medicine to help improve patient outcomes.

Clinical Training

Alongside providing emergency medical equipment we hope to facilitate clinical teaching between UK doctors and Nepali clinicians to share crucial emergency medical teaching between both teams.
